Exporting

To export the cut data as presented in the Shots Table, use one of the following options:

Quick Export

Image title

The quick export will always export all shots, regardless of the set flags in the table.

Export manager

Image title

The Export Manager lets you:

  • Export only flagged shots

  • Use custom column values to bundle files, e.g. export otio files per sequence, save thumbnails into sub folder per sequence, etc.

  • Export multiple formats in one go

There are four categories and the respective output formats (as of June 2026):

  • Editorial Data...
    ...to be imported into editorial applications:

  • otio

  • edl
  • aaf
  • xml
  • csv
  • Reports...
    ...for human eyes and brains:
    • PDF
    • XLS
  • Media...
    ...always handy in this job
    • .mp4 (for sub clips per shot)
    • .jpg (thor thumbnails)
  • Clipboard...
    Put data into the clipboard for efficient workflows.
    Currently the only option it data to be pasted into Autodesk Flow Production Tracking (aka ShotGrid) to create new shots.
